    Mawlana Hazar Imam to meet with Jamats of Western Canada

The Ismaili Leaders’ International Forum (LIF) has announced that Mawlana Hazar Imam, at the invitation of the Government, has confirmed that he will visit Canada in early May 2018.

Alongside engaging in activities relating to initiatives of the Aga Khan Development Network and the Global Centre for Pluralism, Mawlana Hazar Imam will meet with the Jamats of British Columbia, Edmonton, and the Prairies.

The announcement included a reminder that the visit will be restricted to Jamati members residing in the jurisdictions of the Ismaili Councils for British Columbia, Edmonton, and the Prairies. Members of the Jamat from outside these jurisdictions are therefore respectfully requested to refrain from travelling to Western Canada in the expectation of being able to participate in these programmes.

Mawlana Hazar Imam has confirmed his intention to continue granting Diamond Jubilee visits to other Jamats during 2018.
