The evening consisted of dialogue on issues of gender parity, existing barriers of entry for women, best practices and differences in recruitment amongst private and public boards. Representatives from various levels of government, private sector organizations, educational institutions and the media attended the event. Indira Naidoo-Harris, Ontario's minister of women's issues and minister responsible for early years and child care, delivered the keynote address.
