At 10:56 pm, on Sunday, July 20, 1969, the limits of human possibility expanded when humans first set foot on the moon. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of that milestone, we’re hosting a two-day festival in partnership with the Aga Khan Museum and the Aga Khan Park on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21.

At the Ismaili Centre, there is fun for the whole family including:

  • The ROM Travelling Planetarium, taking place every hour from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on both days ($5 Admission).
  • Complimentary talks by engineer and rocket scientist Faizan Rehmatullah on “How to Get to the Moon” on Saturday, July 20 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for kids and a talk on “Back to the Moon” for all ages on Sunday, July 21 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.; and
  • Complimentary tours on July 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
