Ever wondered how the National Council ensures that the Jamat has access to all the services and support it needs? How it plans and executes its strategy in order to deliver quality services to the Jamat? How it accounts for every single Jamati member? The answer is the Jamati Census.
The Jamati Census is the basis and reference that the National Council uses in order to plan and execute its mandate and that of its various boards. Thus, Safety and Security can ensure that every Jamati member is accounted for. When Women’s Activities are planned the Census provides a useful reference. The Portfolio for Health uses the Census to assess and register our Jamat’s health and identify any areas in which action is needed. When Early Childhood Education and Dar-at-Talim activities are considered the Census again provides the basis for how these activities are to be organised, what capacity is needed and what resources need to be allocated. The same is true for Youth & Sports, Economic Planning Board and every other area of intervention of the National Council.
With all of the above activities relying on the Census, it is essential to keep it updated. In an environment where documents have to be renewed on a yearly basis, addresses and contact details frequently change and where families often bring their loved ones from overseas to join them, the Jamat’s cooperation is crucial to ensure the Jamati Census remains a reliable database that effectively supports the National Council in its various responsibilities.
