See below for Ismaili CIVIC Day (British Columbia) activities in your area.

Ismaili CIVIC Day is a day where the Ismaili community in Canada joins hands to provide service to its country to improve the quality of life of fellow Canadians, one Canadian at a time.  Ismaili CIVIC and the Ismaili community’s effort to improve quality of life here in British Columbia and throughout Canada will continue every day. The ethic of volunteerism and giving back in a manner that improves the lives of others is an important value of the Muslim faith.

This year's Ismaili CIVIC day will be held on September 22 and 23, 2018. Join us at the various events listed below that are around the province.

Freshroots

We facilitate outdoor experiential learning with teachers and students, mentor youth leaders through garden clubs and summer programming, host internships for high school aged youth fostering self-confidence, leadership and employment skills, and empower Vancouverites to grow their own food through our volunteer programs. All our food is sold into the school community; into cafeterias, food access programs, restaurants, and to our neighbours. We also work with other schools and organizations to develop their own market gardens and associated programming. We are a thought leader in institutional food systems change and outdoor experiential learning.
