On the occasion of Imamat Day, a delegation of Jamati leaders met with Mawlana Hazar Imam and submitted shukrana for 67 years of guidance, care, and protection of the global Jamat.

Foremost among the principles of the Shia Ismaili Tariqah of Islam is the recognition of the Imam of the Time. Imamat Day is an occasion to reaffirm this principle, express gratitude to Mawlana Hazar Imam, and to reaffirm our spiritual allegiance to the Imam and our commitment to the ethics of the faith.

Last week, special guests attended an Imamat Day reception at the Diwan of the Ismaili Imamat in Lisbon. They were treated to a special performance by the Aga Khan Master Musicians, renowned performers and composer-arrangers in collaboration with the Amara Quartet, an all-female ensemble known for their contemporary renditions of the Portuguese traditional Fado.
