This homemade drink mixes the tangy orange juice with lemon for a quick hit of carbs, sodium and potassium to fuel hungry muscles. Why not get creative? Try different combos of fruit juices to test what tastes good for you and settles well when you are working out hard.Don't want to use it as a sports drink? Leave out the salt, and you have a refreshing drink, with less sugar than regular juice.

500 ml (17 fl oz) orange juice

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

¼ tsp salt

Mint leaves to garnish

Directions

1. In a pitcher or jug add the water, orange juice, lemon juice and salt.

2. Mix together.

3. Infuse with a few mint leaves, if desired.

4. Transfer to a sports bottle or jars.
