SINGAPORE - On July 6, 2024, Ismaili CIVIC and Henderson-Dawson Green Action for Communities (HDGAC) celebrated the success of their neighbourhood-wide composting drive with a Composting Celebration at City Sprouts. During the event, participants were able to witness the composting process in action and receive valuable compost produced from the earlier collection drive. Mini workshops on advanced composting techniques were also held, empowering residents to adopt more sustainable practices at home. The event adhered to zero-waste principles, promoting eco-friendly habits throughout the celebration.
This event was part of the #GoGreenSG and #SayYesToWasteLess campaigns, aimed at fostering a culture of sustainability and reducing waste across Singapore. Ismaili CIVIC and HDGAC collaborated with MSE, NEA, Tanjong Pagar Town Council, and other partners to bring this initiative to life, reinforcing the message that small actions can have a big impact when it comes to protecting the environment.
